Then you sink them into a 30 cm deep pot covering them with some soil, but leaving a part of the ginger rhizome visible. Finally you would only need to water it, keeping a constant humidity without soaking it, until they grow and take a height of 30 or 40 cm. Curiosities about ginger

The RAE says that it should be written ginger, but nobody uses that term anymore and the wrong versions: ginger, ginger or ginger, are the ones usually used to refer to the plant.

The term ginger comes from Sanskrit. It is the union of two words: srngam (horn) and vera (body), the full word being srngavera. The explanation is that the shape of the ginger root is reminiscent of a body. The word in English, comes from the Latin zingiber which in turn is the interpretation of the original Sanskrit word given by the Greeks.

In Peru it is called kion and currently the country is one of the world’s leading producers along with China, India, Nepal, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Bangladesh and the Philippines.

In Peru this stem is known as kion, and currently this country has become the second largest producer in the world, behind China. Among other things, this is because the Peruvian kion, as advocated by its producers, is stronger and therefore more profitable for use in the production of gingerbread drinks.
