Aprilia's history began with the dream of an Italian bike builder named Ivano Beggio, who went on to become one of the most prominent producers and manufacturers in the history of two-wheelers.

Apart from being one of the leading brands in the motorbike and scooter market, it has a long history in the world of racing, with succesfull participations in the World Motorcycle Championship, World Superbike Championship and various motocross and Supermotard competitions.

It was the Scarabeo motocross bike (in 50 cc and 125 cc versions), in 1970, that established Aprilia's reputation. This stimulated the brand's eagerness to compete in motorised disciplines, starting with motocross in 1974, with the rider Maurizio Sgarzani in the cadet category.

Thus, over the years, the brand has seen the birth of numerous world champions, such as the skilled riders Biaggi, Capirossi, Gramigni, Locatelli, Sakata, Poggiali and Valentino Rossi.

Since 2017, MotoGP rider and current RAW ambassador Aleix Espargaró has been one of the brand's most valuable assets in the premier class. After five years together, Aleix achieved the first podium for Aprilia last season.

Actually, not only the rider but also the Aprilia Factory Racing team is part of RAW and we couldn't be prouder to be with them in MOTOGP for another year!
